Bill of Lading (BOL) Terms & Conditions

1. Contract of Carriage & Receipt

Every Bill of Lading issued for shipments managed by GoodDispatcher.com constitutes a legally binding contract of carriage between the Shipper, Consignee, and Motor Carrier.

• The carrier agrees to transport the goods described with reasonable dispatch to the specified destination.
• Signature of the driver on the BOL acknowledges receipt of freight in apparent good order unless noted otherwise ("Subject to Count", "SLC - Shipper Load and Count").

2. Freight Charges, Detention & Layovers

Freight rate confirmations must be paid according to the agreed payment terms (Prepaid, Collect, or Third Party).

• Detention: $75.00/hour charged after 2 hours of free time at shipper or receiver facilities.
• Layover: $350.00/day for overnight delays caused by facility shutdowns or unready cargo.
• TONU (Truck Ordered Not Used): Minimum $250.00 fee if a dispatched truck is cancelled within 4 hours of scheduled pickup.

3. Cargo Loss & Damage Claims Protocol

Claims for loss, damage, or delay must be filed in accordance with 49 CFR Part 370:

• Visible Damage/Shortage: Must be explicitly noted on the delivery receipt (POD) at the time of delivery.
• Concealed Damage: Must be reported in writing to GoodDispatcher within 5 business days of delivery.
• Formal Written Claim: Must be submitted within 9 months from the delivery date, accompanied by original BOL, invoice, and photo evidence.
